Recreational Angler Access Projects Overview
Overview
Angler Access (non-boating) projects provide public access for recreational sport fishing.
Projects which may be eligible under this category include, but are not limited to:
- Construction of trails and elevated light penetrating (ELP) walkways.
- Fish cleaning stations.
- Land acquisition and development of non-boating access to sport fishing waterbodies.
- Access roads, bridges, and other requirements to provide public access to non-boating facilities.
- Camping facilities, restrooms, showers, potable water, trash receptacles, and parking areas.
- Engineering costs (planning and construction), environmental assessments, and permit applications.
- Operation and maintenance of Angler Access facilities.
- Facility signage and recognition of the Sport Fish Restoration Program.
- Publications to aid and inform sport anglers of access sites.
